I am Paige Patrick, owner and operator of Urban Society Salon. Originally from Fort Wayne Indiana, I graduated high school, moved to Indianapolis, and enrolled in the Aveda Fredric's Institute of Cosmetology. After graduating from Aveda, I was granted a position at Evan Todd Salon and Spa; inside The Conrad Hotel in Indianapolis. After a year at The Conrad, I stumbled into The Compass Salon in Carmel, Indiana.
The Compass Salon gave me the skill set I needed to grow a wonderful clientele, polish my talents behind the chair, and reach my full potential. So when the opportunity to open my own salon jumped into my lap, I was ready to take it! My salon in The Village of Westclay is something I am beyond grateful for and it could not have been born without my supportive clientele, amazing mentors, and loving family.
My name is Taylor Martin, stylist at Urban Society Salon. I'm from a super hip place called New Albany, Indiana, not to be confused with Albany, NY. It's 15 minutes north of Louisville (louhvuhl), KY. I graduated from a small private high school and went to college at Indiana University Bloomington. I was in the Kelley School of Business and graduated with a degree in finance. Anyone reading this is probably confused....
Once I graduated I realized quickly how much more I wanted to be in a hands on career that could allow me to interact with various types of people and less behind a desk. After this realization, I applied to the Aveda Fredric's Institute and became a licensed Cosmetologist.
My journey at Urban Society began in November. 2018 as an apprentice for Paige. Within this period of time I've grown in more ways personally and professionally than I ever thought possible. I am so excited to have found a path that led me to a career I'm truly passionate about with a team I love.
Beau is our registered emotional support dog. A permanent fixture at Urban Society Salon, Beau provides a source of comfort and security to our more apprehensive clients. Beau is a two year old, 135 pound, pure bred Bull Mastiff. This breed was achieved in the early 1800's to protect the estate grounds in Europe. Estate owners wanted a silent protector to guard, and a gentle nanny to bring home. While Beau lacks in the guarding department, (he wouldn't hurt a fly) he definitely makes up for it in his gentle nature. Beau's mellow personality has granted him a spot on our team, and employees along with guests wouldn't have it any other way.
Disclaimer: Treats are always appreciated!
